Class placements: Pre-K3–5th grade students will receive teacher postcards the week before school begins. Middle school schedules will be posted in FACTS.

School supplies: Supplies are included in tuition. Students only need a backpack, water bottle, and wired headphones.

Technology: Devices will be distributed to K–8 students during the first week.

Uniforms: Everyday uniforms begin on the first day. Formal Mass uniforms begin October 1. Pre-K3 does not attend Mass, and Pre-K4 begins attending Mass after Christmas break.

      Top 10 Reminders

      • Be on time. Class starts promptly at 7:50 AM.
      • Label everything: sweaters, lunchboxes, and water bottles.
      • Order hot lunch in advance if desired.
      • Expect slower carline the first week.
      • Check Tiger Times every Wednesday.
      • Download the FACTS Family App.
      • Attend your Back-to-School Night.
      • Complete EIM training early if you plan to volunteer.
      • Plan ahead for half days with no Extended Care.
      • Take pictures, meet families, and enjoy the first week.
Quick Tip: Review carline and uniforms before August 12 so your first morning feels easy and stress-free.

      Communication

Tiger Times is emailed every Wednesday and is your primary source for school news. FACTS is used for grades, attendance, tuition, and alerts. The STCS App includes the calendar, directory, and notifications.

      ⏰ Extended Care

Extended Care runs from dismissal until 5:45 PM each school day and is open to all students in Pre-K3–8th grade. Families may use it monthly or as a drop-in option when needed.

      Parent Ambassadors

Your New Family Parent Ambassadors help connect you with grade-level communications and welcome you into the life of the school community.

      Carline

Morning carline begins at 7:30 AM and the school day starts at 7:50 AM. Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:30 PM.

Elementary loop: Pre-K–2nd grade students enter from Cross Valley Run near the Elementary Building.

Elmer Hall loop: 3rd–8th grade students enter from Small Drive near Elmer Hall.

Families with multiple children: Always use the youngest child’s drop-off and pick-up zone.

Safety: Students exit on the passenger side only, parents remain in their vehicles, and phones should be put away in school zones.

      Late Drop-Off & Pick-Up

If you arrive after 7:50 AM, please park and take your child to the main office. Students in 3rd grade and older may go to the office on their own.

Children not picked up within 20 minutes of dismissal are escorted to Extended Care, and the time is billed through FACTS.

If a child is picked up after 5:45 PM, a late fee applies.

Half days dismiss at 11:50 AM, and there is no Extended Care on half days.

      Uniforms

Official vendor: Flynn O’Hara Uniforms | Austin store at 2951 W. Anderson Lane | School Code: 223

Tiger Mart: Our on-campus resale shop offers gently used uniform pieces, and new families receive a free starter set.

Mass uniforms: Formal Mass uniforms begin October 1. Pre-K3 does not need a Mass uniform, and Pre-K4 begins attending Mass after Christmas break.

      General Guidelines

Uniforms should be clean, neat, and well-fitted. Shirts are tucked in, bottoms must be fingertip length or longer, and school-logo outerwear is required for layers.

Shoes should be mostly black, white, or gray athletic styles. Socks should be solid black, white, gray, or navy.

Spirit Days allow official STCS shirts with black, navy, khaki, or blue denim bottoms.

      Student Life

Students can explore athletics, choir, drama, academic competitions, service, and after-school enrichment. Popular offerings include coding, chess, art, choir camp, and drama camp.

      Middle School

Middle schoolers benefit from electives, advanced math pathways, NJHS eligibility, dances, spiritual retreats, service, and overnight trips to Camp Champions, Port Aransas, and Washington, D.C.

      ❤️ Parent Involvement

Families are asked to complete 15 volunteer hours per year, or 7.5 hours for single-parent households. EIM training is required for volunteers, and there are many ways to get involved.

      Health & Safety

St. Theresa Catholic School prioritizes the safety and well-being of every student on our 22-acre Northwest Hills campus. The school uses AI-enhanced security cameras, triple-secured entry points, and a full-time armed security guard.

All visitors check in through the Raptor Visitor Management System, present a valid ID, and wear a printed badge.

      Health Services

School nurses support students throughout the week. Medication requires a signed permit form. Immunizations must be current according to Texas requirements. Students should be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school.

Doctor’s notes are required for absences longer than three days or after a contagious illness.
