It Takes A Community To Raise A School
Time: School families are asked to volunteer 25 hours of service to the school or parish. In the 2014-2015 school year, families volunteered over 12,000 hours. These volunteer hours help the school maximize the use of its faculty and minimize headcount. Additionally, strong volunteer support positions the school favorably for grant opportunities. Grandparents, extended family and parishioners are welcomed and encouraged to get involved at the school.
Talent: St. Theresa’s Catholic School is blessed with talented and skilled supporters. Volunteers aid in countless ways to help the school run smoothly, offering their expertise in school board, technology, classroom, lunch and library support.
Treasure: Supporters generously provide the financial resources to make our school a success and keep it operating on a balanced budget.
All families are asked to support the Annual Fund Campaign first and foremost, and to support other important, but voluntary, programs at their own interest level and discretion.
The Annual Fund provides an opportunity for parents, parishioners and other supporters to make a tax-deductible donation to the school. These funds help to expand academic programs, renovate facilities, provide capital improvements, cover operating costs and ensure the long-term financial viability of the school. In past years, the Annual Fund has subsidized several significant, permanent improvements to the school and parish grounds.
The most efficient way for supporters to make a gift to the school is through the Annual Fund. Because there is no fundraising cost for this effort, 100% of each contribution is used for school needs. All school families are asked to participate in the Annual Fund to the full extent they are financially able. Participation by 100% of school families is critical for the school to secure funds from outside sources. Donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
If you would like to make a contribution to our school, you can donate online, and a thank-you letter acknowledging your contribution will be mailed to you.
The Gala is the highlight of the school’s social and fundraising events. It features a themed evening of dinner and dance, enhancing the school’s strong sense of community. The Gala also features Silent and Live Auctions offering a wide variety of items such as inspirational class projects created by the students.
Please join us on Saturday, February 3, 2018 for the STCS Gala.
The annual golf tournament offers an opportunity to support the school while enjoying a great game of golf. To help make this event a financial success, many school families also invite their businesses and clients.
The STCS Booster Club exists to enhance the opportunities and experiences of participants in St. Theresa’s Catholic School’s extra-curricular activities, providing moral, spiritual and financial assistance. Membership is open and encouraged with all St. Theresa’s Catholic School parents. Dues are accessed on a yearly basis.
The Booster Club has an executive committee comprised of the following: President, Vice-President of Communications, Vice-President of Ways and Means, Secretary and Treasurer.
The monthly “Booster Club Coffees” offer parents a great opportunity to connect and are always looked forward to.
All families are invited to join the Tiger PTO whose purpose is to enhance and support the operation of the school through moral, spiritual and financial assistance. This organization provides a dependable group of parent volunteers and is under the direction of the principal. Family involvement is essential to the school’s operation and helps keep tuition reasonable. A family service program, St. Theresa’s Parents Involved to Render Inspiration and Time (S.P.I.R.I.T.), helps distribute volunteer efforts.
One day every school year, STCS opens up the campus and celebrates our students’ grandparents and special loved ones. The mission of this event is to honor and thank our STCS grandparents and special loved ones for all their love and support. It is also an opportunity to showcase our students’ talent. We encourage our visitors to enjoy a school-wide Mass, music program, review students’ academic and extracurricular accomplishments, join us for a reception, and receive a campus tour. This is a joyful day for all at St. Theresa’s Catholic School.
Please join us on Friday, February 5, 2016 for Grandparents’ Day.
